HANDCRAFTED items by young entrepreneurs will be for sale at Big Apple Cafe, Bacchus Marsh, later this month.<\/p>\n

The Creative Kids Mini Market is designed to provide a place for young people to share their creations, network and make sales without the fees of a traditional market.<\/p>\n

“We’re just trying to have an opportunity to give young kids and teens a chance to really express their creativity and engage with the public selling their items,” said organiser Georgina Harwood.<\/p>\n

“I have found, especially with my kids, the most important part is them connecting with other likeminded kids and adults.<\/p>\n

“I see my daughter really open up when she comes to the market.”<\/p>\n

The event will also include live, local entertainment, a children’s activity table, outdoor fire, and food and drinks available for purchase.<\/p>\n

There is expected to be about 10 stallholders at October’s market.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ms Harwood said it is important to foster confidence and creativity among children and teenagers.<\/p>\n

“Kids can be so amazingly talented and expressive, and I see through my own eyes they create more than I believe possible for their age, if we give them the chance and opportunity,” she said.<\/p>\n

“If people are free, definitely come down and support the kids who are being so brave\u2026 help out some young kids with their dream.”<\/p>\n

The next Creative Kids Mini Market will be on Saturday 19 October from 10am until 2pm, and there will be further markets in November and December.<\/p>\n
