A-LEAGUE club Western United has teamed up with Bacchus Marsh Grammar (BMG) in a new community school partnership.<\/p>\n

The deal will see Western United support the school’s Elite Sports Program with visits and engagements throughout school terms and co-branding on student uniforms.<\/p>\n

BMG students and staff will also have opportunities for exclusive training viewings at the club’s Ironbark Fields base, as well as invitations to matchdays at United’s home games in Tarneit.<\/p>\n

It is the first time the club has entered into a community school partnership.<\/p>\n

The club’s community development and partnerships manager, Aylin Bagdadi, said the partnership would open up new avenues for the club to engage the community and encourage the growth of students.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to welcome Bacchus Marsh Grammar to the Western United family and to launch our brand new community school partner offerings,” she said.<\/p>\n

“As we continue to build our community at Ironbark Fields in Tarneit, we are increasingly passionate about finding new ways to welcome everyone in the west to be part of our family.<\/p>\n

“We are eagerly looking forward to working together alongside Bacchus Marsh Grammar this season to elevate the next generation of athletes, scholars and leaders in the west.”<\/p>\n

BMG deputy principal Sarah Hunter said Western United’s commitment to the region made the partnership a vital one for the community.<\/p>\n

“Bacchus Marsh Grammar is thrilled to partner with Western United to create invaluable opportunities for our students to grow, fostering personal development in and outside of the classroom,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Western United’s ethos of embodying the aspiration, hard-working and successful spirit of the people of Melbourne’s west resonates deeply with our school’s values, inspiring students to strive for excellence, resilience and teamwork in all aspects of their lives.”<\/p>\n

Western United plans to continue to partner with schools, clubs and organisations west of Melbourne with the aim of empowering individuals in the region to achieve their best.<\/p>\n
