USERS of the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve are being asked to provide input into the development of a master plan for the facility.<\/p>\n

The master plan will inform how the reserve develops over the next decade and initial feedback will be collected during January and February.<\/p>\n

Dunnstown Football Netball Club president Peter Bowman said he would love to see the ground resurfaced, a second netball court built, and an undercover area added to link the football and netball facilities.<\/p>\n

“The main two items \u2013 and they are probably long-term items \u2013 are the resurfacing of the oval and hopefully another netball court,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Netball is definitely moving forward and there is growing numbers and the football surface\u2026 late in winter it is pretty unusable.”<\/p>\n

Council adoption is expected in mid-2025 and the community will then have a chance to review the draft plan.<\/p>\n

“Council is developing a master plan for the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve to guide the future development of the reserve for the next 10 years,” Moorabool Shire Council CEO Derek Madden said.<\/p>\n

“It’s important to receive feedback from the reserve users to understand how it is used by the community and what gaps need to be addressed.<\/p>\n

“It is anticipated the plan will be adopted in the second half of 2025.”<\/p>\n

Mr Bowman encouraged the community to complete the survey to ensure the Shire received broad responses.<\/p>\n

“It’s a great asset for the community and a lot of people just walk around and kick the footy with their kids,” he said.<\/p>\n

“They are the people who use it so they should have a fair say in what they think might be of benefit for them.”<\/p>\n
