A SIX-WEEK community satisfaction survey has begun in a move to help Moorabool Shire Council understand the experiences of the community.<\/p>\n

Some residents will receive a phone call between now and mid-March from independent market research agency National Field Services.<\/p>\n

Similar surveys will take place across Victoria as part of the mandatory Local Government Performance Reporting Framework.<\/p>\n

“Each year, a statewide community satisfaction survey is carried out throughout Victorian local governments,” CEO Derek Madden said.<\/p>\n

“Participation in this survey is optional, but we believe strongly in its value.<\/p>\n

“We want the best outcome for our community, so we regularly track our performance through this and other measures and report publicly on how we are doing.”<\/p>\n

The aim of the survey is to ensure the Moorabool Shire Council is operating with transparency and accountability, and to help improve services.<\/p>\n

“As part of our promise to residents and in line with our Customer Charter, we recognise the importance of a great experience for all,” Mr Madden said.<\/p>\n

“Our annual community satisfaction survey is the residents’ chance to give us feedback so we can keep improving.<\/p>\n

“Community members will be asked their perceptions of the importance of a range of council services as well as council’s performance in these areas.”<\/p>\n

All responses are confidential, and the results will be published on the Moorabool Shire Council<\/a> website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
