BALLAN’S Anne Draffen has taken out this season’s Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region Women’s Champion of Champions singles title in a close tussle with Webbcona’s Sarah Braybrook.<\/p>\n

The match played at Central Wendouree Bowling Club on Sunday saw the lead change a few times until the last few ends, when Draffen settled in and scored multiple shots to resume the lead.<\/p>\n

She went on to take the match on the 27th end with the score 25 up to Braybrook’s 18 shots.<\/p>\n

Last month, Draffen also took out the region’s women’s singles title when she had another strong finish to her game over Webbcona’s Debbie Gorin.<\/p>\n

Draffen will go on to represent the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region in the state championships region finals for both events.<\/p>\n

They will be played at Bendigo East Bowling Club in the week Thursday 3 April to Friday 11 April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
