BACCHUS Marsh’s Racecourse Recreation Reserve will receive $300,000 from the State Government for an off-leash dog park.<\/p>\n
Designs will be created after community consultation, and the park will include designated play areas, drinking fountains, fencing, shelters, bins and shading.<\/p>\n
The project was chosen as part of round two of the New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program, with 26 parks receiving funding across the state.<\/p>\n
Construction of all projects is expected to be complete by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n
“We’re ensuring that Victorians \u2013 two and four-legged alike \u2013 have more opportunities to connect, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors,” Minister for Environment Steve Dimopoulos said.<\/p>\n
“These dog parks cater for all kinds of pooches, whether they want to test their agility, socialise with their furry friends or take it slow in the seniors section; there is something for every dog and its owner.”<\/p>\n
Construction of a new community hub and a multi-sports hub at the reserve is underway, and is funded by the Federal Government. It will include accessible changerooms and public amenities, meeting rooms, and expansions of existing infrastructure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
