{"id":35957,"date":"2025-09-21T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=35957"},"modified":"2025-09-18T16:11:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T06:11:49","slug":"concert-expo-headline-seniors-festival-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/news\/concert-expo-headline-seniors-festival-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Concert, expo headline seniors festival program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SENIORS in the Moorabool Shire have something extra to look forward to when the municipality once again participates in the Victorian Seniors Festival next month.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the Moorabool Seniors Festival will include the Country Concert Tour, which is part of the statewide festival&#8217;s flagship program running throughout October.<\/p>\n<p>The free Moorabool Country Concert will be held from 11am on Thursday 9 October at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall in Main Street.<\/p>\n<p>It will feature a morning of dancing and music from the 1960s and 1970s, with a performance by The Stiletto Groove. Bookings are essential.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to the festivities, the free Celebrating Connections Seniors Expo will showcase local services, community groups and advocacy organisations.<\/p>\n<p>It will be held between 11am and 1pm, also at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/SeniorsFestPromo_04653.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A free concert and the popular expo will headline next month&#8217;s Moorabool Seniors Festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will be able to enjoy a free barbecue lunch, a sweet treat from an ice cream truck, and lucky door prizes.<\/p>\n<p>They will also be able to take part in a range of fitness demonstrations such as line dancing, seated exercise or pickleball, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said this year&#8217;s expo was a great opportunity for the community to come together.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With hands-on demonstrations, a photo booth, barbecue lunch and sweet treats from the ice cream truck, it&#8217;s a fantastic opportunity to connect, discover and celebrate community life in Moorabool,&#8221; Cr Tatchell said. &#8220;Together, the free country concert and seniors expo headline a jam-packed 2025 program, ensuring there&#8217;s something for everyone to enjoy during this year&#8217;s seniors festival.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The full program guide can be downloaded from the Shire website at moorabool.vic.gov.au\/events.<\/p>\n<p>Bookings for events can also be made through the website or by phoning the Shire on 5366 7100.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SENIORS in the Moorabool Shire have something extra to look forward to when the municipality once again participates in the Victorian Seniors Festival next month.
