{"id":36038,"date":"2025-09-28T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=36038"},"modified":"2025-09-25T17:46:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T07:46:14","slug":"track-and-field-season-set-to-start-for-little-aths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/sport\/track-and-field-season-set-to-start-for-little-aths\/","title":{"rendered":"Track and field season set to start for little aths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW season of track and field is set to explode out of the starting blocks for Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics.<\/p>\n<p>Pitched at five to 16-year-olds, the season starts on Saturday 4 October and will run right through to March next year, concluding with Centre Championship Day on Saturday 21 March.<\/p>\n<p>Next Saturday&#8217;s start to the season features a come and try session for new athletes, with the season ahead offering plenty for young promising athletes to target including events and competitions at club, centre, region and state levels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Centre meets are held on Saturday mornings at Masons Lane Reserve commencing at 8.30am,&#8221; Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre records and ranking officer Linda Thompson said. &#8220;We do run a couple of Friday twilight meets prior to the region and state events.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/BMLAtracknfielda_25355.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics open age boys who previously claimed gold at the Region Relay Carnival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Highlights on the season&#8217;s calendar include region and state relays, region and state level track and field championships, and the Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Relaython.<\/p>\n<p>The season culminates with the Centre Championships.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve had a magnificent response to our new sponsorship packages with a large number of businesses jumping on board again this season,&#8221; Ms Thompson said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our registration page on the website has a lot of information for new families including a FAQ section which is most helpful for new members.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We offer a two week free trial offer to new members.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW season of track and field is set to explode out of the starting blocks for Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics.
