{"id":36539,"date":"2025-11-03T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=36539"},"modified":"2025-10-30T16:01:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T05:01:56","slug":"dozens-of-sales-on-the-garage-trail-next-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/news\/dozens-of-sales-on-the-garage-trail-next-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Dozens of sales on the garage trail next month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOZENS of events in the Moorabool Shire have already been locked in for the national Garage Sale Trail, which takes place over two weekends in November.<\/p>\n<p>When she spoke to The Moorabool News earlier this week, trail general manager Barbara Gill said 36 individuals, clubs and other organisations had registered for the trail on the weekends of 8 and 9, and 15 and 16 November.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would hazard a guess there&#8217;ll be between 40 and 50 in total by the time the weekends come around,&#8221; Ms Gill said.<\/p>\n<p>The Garage Sale Trail joined forces with the Moorabool Shire Council this year \u2013 the first municipality in the region to do so \u2013 to promote and organise the local trail.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/11\/Garagesaletrail1562_95441.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Between 40 and 50 sites are expected to be registered locally.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We call it Australia&#8217;s biggest second-hand treasure hunt,&#8221; Ms Gill said.<\/p>\n<p>Nationally, more than 11,000 events will take place on the two weekends, with over three million items going up for sale.<\/p>\n<p>Sales and similar events can be registered right up until the trail weekends and it is free to participate.
