FOLLOWING the Ballan Tennis Club reunion in October, organisers are hopeful the organisation will be revived following a recess due to a lack of office bearers.<\/p>\n
The club will hold an annual general meeting this Monday 1 December at the Ballan Recreation Reserve.<\/p>\n
“At the reunion we decided we should try to get things going again,” Denis Conroy said.<\/p>\n
“We have excellent facilities and although there are people using them, there is no formal club operating.<\/p>\n
“The Moorabool Shire rebuilt the courts after COVID.<\/p>\n
“We are looking for interest in getting the club kick-started again and are asking anyone interested to come along to the AGM on Monday.<\/p>\n
“A few people have expressed interest in becoming office bearers.<\/p>\n
“It’s a good start and we are hoping there will be more support and people putting their hands up at the meeting.<\/p>\n
“There hasn’t been any development for juniors so it would be great to get a tennis school going for youngsters in the area.”<\/p>\n
The Ballan Tennis Club AGM will start at 7pm.<\/p>\n
