The best way to contact Mr Kriznaric is through the Facebook page or his new YouTube channel, Mike’s Bikes for Cool Kids.<\/p>\n
Mr Kriznaric has travelled to places like Ballarat and Geelong to collect donated bikes, but the majority are delivered to him.<\/p>\n
He then uses his restoration skills to bring the bikes back to near-new condition before giving them away.<\/p>\n
“Whoever rings me up and needs a new bike, I’m giving them to them at the moment,” Mr Kriznaric said.<\/p>\n
He plans to do a letterbox drop publicising Mike’s Bikes, along with making the charity known through youth outlets, the police and other relevant agencies.<\/p>\n
Mr Kriznaric is buying helmets from various sources out of his own pocket to accompany the bikes he gives away, and credits Ivanhoe Cycles in Hoppers Crossing with helping out by providing gear to him at cost price for use in the restorations.<\/p>\n
But he also pays for other necessities, and is willing to perform bike repairs for a small fee to help cover overall costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
