{"id":38631,"date":"2026-04-10T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=38631"},"modified":"2026-04-09T08:56:42","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T22:56:42","slug":"tales-gnomes-and-fairy-fun-these-holidays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/news\/tales-gnomes-and-fairy-fun-these-holidays\/","title":{"rendered":"Tales, gnomes and fairy fun these holidays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CHILDREN can stretch their imaginations and creative skills at Moorabool Libraries throughout the April school holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Art and craft sessions looking at fairytales, gnomes and castles are on the holiday program, as are painting sessions guided by a faciliator.<\/p>\n<p>In true library style, there will be storytelling sessions on &#8216;twisted tales&#8217;, and illustrator Marc McBride will lead a drawing workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Moorabool Libraries staff are aiming to create a family-friendly and inclusive environment that can keep children of all ages thinking and entertained while they are away from kindergarten or school for the break.<\/p>\n<p>Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Steve Venditti Taylor said the program will be fun and accessible for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;School holidays can be a busy time for parents, so it&#8217;s great to be able to offer a program that keeps kids entertained, active and learning,&#8221; Cr Venditti Taylor said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With creative workshops, stories and hands on activities, there&#8217;s no chance of kids being bored these holidays, and it&#8217;s a wonderful way for families to enjoy everything our local libraries have to offer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>All the events, including other hands on and play-based interactive activities, will be held between next Tuesday 7 April and Friday 17 April at either Bacchus Marsh or Ballan Library, and they are are either free to attend or low in cost.<\/p>\n<p>To view the full program, book in, or find more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/moorabool.vic.gov.au\/school-holidays-autumn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moorabool.vic.gov.au\/school-holidays-autumn<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHILDREN can stretch their imaginations and creative skills at Moorabool Libraries throughout the April school holidays.
