A curiosity for the past and the unknown is set to be indulged at a paranormal activity in Bacchus Marsh next week.<\/p>\n

Mysteries Lost in History will offer guidance through The Border Inn on Tuesday 19 May for those willing to seek out an understanding of what has gone before.<\/p>\n

Organisers Kriss and Amanda Powell said the event allows for a hands-on approach.<\/p>\n

Equipment will be provided for participants to see what they can uncover and form their own perspective about the experience.<\/p>\n

“What we’re all about is people having their own experiences and we’re there just to help them facilitate,” Kriss said.<\/p>\n

“Everyone’s curious about it,” Amanda said.<\/p>\n

The event will allow for the exploration of the paranormal. However, it would also be grounded in the history of the building.<\/p>\n

“What we’re about is that it’s all factual, not theatrical,” Kriss said.<\/p>\n

“The thing about it is we love the history of places. We want to teach people or tell people about the history so it doesn’t get lost in history.”<\/p>\n

Amanda said she loves history and old buildings.<\/p>\n

“We’re losing everything,” she said. “You look around you, urbanisation’s just taking over.”<\/p>\n

The Powells conduct research into their venues to facilitate the exploration.<\/p>\n

“I find newspaper articles, historical newspaper articles,” Amanda said.<\/p>\n

“So if there was a death here and it’s reported in the paper, I get copies of all that. Everything we talk about is factual and we back it up.”<\/p>\n

She said they were open to all perspectives, and they aimed to allow participants to explore their curiosity in a unique way.<\/p>\n

The event begins at 7.30pm. A light meal is included as part of tickets.<\/p>\n
