THE tiny locality of Millbrook is among recipients of Victoria’s latest round of Tiny Towns funding.<\/p>\n
The Millbrook Community Sporting Complex will now be able to get an internal unisex ambulant toilet installed after successfully applying for $20,000 under round three of fund.<\/p>\n
The township of Elaine is also among the newly announced recipients.<\/p>\n
There, the Elaine Recreation Reserve has been successful in securing $38,630 for its Public Space Enhancement and Signage Upgrade project.<\/p>\n
Eureka MP Michaela Settle congratulated the local recipients on securing the dollars, delivered through her portfolio as Minister for Regional Development.<\/p>\n
Settle said the dollars are supporting projects that had been identified by local communities as priorities.<\/p>\n
“Small towns are at the heart of our region, and these investments will help strengthen the facilities and spaces that bring communities together,” Settle said.<\/p>\n
“Whether it’s improving accessibility, upgrading community infrastructure or creating more welcoming public spaces, these projects will make a real difference for local residents.<\/p>\n
“Some of Victoria’s best communities are also our smallest, and the Tiny Towns Fund is helping make sure they have the facilities and infrastructure they need to thrive.<\/p>\n
“We know strong regional communities are built through sustained investment, not cuts.”<\/p>\n
The funding round will support 157 projects across 151 Victorian towns that have populations of under 5,000 people with grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
