The call is out for all live music performers and attendees to fill out a survey from Music Victoria, and help the live music industry get back on its feet.<\/p>\n

Music Victoria is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that advocates for the Victorian music community, to develop and promote our state\u2019s music industry.<\/p>\n

As part of the Victorian Live Music Census and Infrastructure Audit 2021, Music Victoria wants to hear from music industry practitioners, performs and attendees.<\/p>\n

The anonymous surveys aim to identify what was great about the live music scene in 2019, and what was \u2018lost\u2019 during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n

The survey data will help Music Victoria put real figures on live music\u2019s value for local tourism, jobs, and economic development, and identify challenges and areas that need more funding.<\/p>\n

The last Live Music Census in 2017 identified Melbourne as the \u201clive music capital of the word\u201d, with 18 million fans generating over $1.7 billion in revenue and generations thousands of jobs.<\/p>\n

The 2017 contributed to the $22 million Music Works program, and the \u2018Agent of Change\u2019 planning provisions to protect live music venues from residential encroachment.<\/p>\n

Your participation in these surveys can help revitalise the Victorian live music scene after a tough couple of years.<\/p>\n
