The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance is taking the fight to save their farms and communities to Spring Street.
\nThe group is asking for supporters of \u2018Stop AusNet\u2019s Towers\u2019, to join them on the steps of Parliament, to send a message to the State Government.
\n\u201cToo many politicians won\u2019t come to us, so let\u2019s go to them and tell them to save our communities and farms,\u201d a spokesperson said.
\n\u201cStop AusNet\u2019s Towers supports renewable energy, supports action on climate change and supports the environment.\u201d
\nThe spokesperson said A GREEN generation solution requires a GREEN transmission solution.
\n\u201cUsing outdated, inferior and destructive overhead electricity transmission technology is NOT in Australia\u2019s strategic national interest, nor cost-effective.\u201d
\nThe group say above ground transmission infrastructure is not a future proof solution and AusNet, AEMO and the government are green washing this project.
