These are being run by the Central Highlands Power Alliance Group (Stop AusNets Towers) and are planned to inform landowners about the campaign, the legal challenge and the EES process.<\/p>\n<p>The following week, Moorabool Shire Council will hold an online community session on preparing a submission to an Environment Effects Statement (EES) public review<br \/>\nOn Wednesday 9 March, Council has engaged expert speakers on how to prepare a submission in response to an Environment Effects Statement (EES).<\/p>\n<p>The session comes in the lead up to the public review of the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project\u2019s (WVTNP) EES, which is expected later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Henry Bezuidenhout Executive Manager Community Planning and Economic Development said an EES is not an approval process itself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather it enables decisionmakers to consider whether a project with potentially significant environmental effects should proceed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcknowledging that most people do not take part in an EES in their lifetime, as well as that an EES is only publicly exhibited for 30 business days, Council has invited two expert guests to help prepare its community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an important milestone for community participation,\u201d Mr Bezuidenhout said.<\/p>\n<p>The session \u201cPreparing a submission to an Environment Effects Statement (EES) public review\u201d, will take place online on Wednesday 9 March, from 6.00 to 7.30pm. Guest speakers include barrister Louise Hicks, and Senior Impact Assessor at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Jack Krohn.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the community are encouraged to submit questions in advance to ensure that relevant themes are addressed by our speakers.
