As businesses open at full capacity again after two years of COVID restrictions, a new survey aims to identify challenges and opportunities they face, and boost their post-pandemic recovery.<\/p>\n

The survey has been commissioned by the Ballan & District Chamber of Commerce, with Marmalade Sky Marketing to prepare a business and marketing plan using the survey results.<\/p>\n

President of the Ballan & District Chamber of Commerce, Michael Ryan, said he hoped that ideas would come in not just from local businesses themselves, but their customers too.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe survey is being used to gather data to inform the proposed Strategic Plan for the main street of Ballan\u2026Marmalade Sky are gathering information to see what ideas there are to make our shopping precinct more efficient, productive and attractive,\u201d he told the Moorabool News.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully we\u2019ll get comments not only from traders, but also their customers and people who visit the town, to see what they think. It\u2019s not really about fixing a pothole or putting a new road down, it\u2019s about creating things that make Ballan a more interesting place to visit, shop at, and spend some time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sarah Maguire and Anthony Galea from Marmalade Sky will also be contacting Ballan\u2019s main street businesses this month.<\/p>\n

Ms Maguire said she and Mr Galea were eager to engage with the Ballan community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are consulting with businesses both in Ballan and surrounding areas, as well as relevant stakeholders including Moorabool Shire Council, to gain feedback to help shape the direction for the Chamber’s Plan,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe survey is just one tool we are utilising to do this. While the survey is targeted to businesses, we welcome feedback from the community as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
