In 2016, the grants were increased to ten $1,500 grants. This year the grant amount has doubled to ten $3,000 grants awarded to honours and postgraduate students at Australian universities. <\/p>\n<p>The President of the Australian Wildlife Society, Dr Julie Old, said \u201cThe Australian Wildlife Society has supported Australian honours and postgraduate university students for seventeen years. In addition to our University Research Grants, we also offer Wildlife Ecology Research Scholarships. The Scholarships are valued at $5,000 and are open to postgraduate research students from the University of New South Wales, the University of Technology Sydney, and the University of Newcastle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Society is proud to support the next generation of young Australians and their research into conserving Australia\u2019s biodiversity for future generations. <\/p>\n<p>Australian Wildlife Society, formed in 1909, is a national not-for-profit wildlife conservation organisation.
