Ballroom stars set to wow crowds at Tyalgum
THE Tyalgum Dance Spectacular, featuring the country’s best Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue dancers, is returning to the Tweed region for its 14th year on November 15.
The event is one of the longest-running independent ballroom dance showcases in Australia.
Dancing with the Stars judge, Mark Wilson, will again host the evening in the elegant backdrop of the historic Tyalgum Community Hall.
Australian Professional New Vogue champions Christopher Wilson and Jordan Kopp-Collins are returning, along with Australian Professional Ballroom finalists David Smith and Christina Park, in their Tyalgum debut.

The Australian Professional Latin American finalists Joshua O’Grady and Stephanie Cappis will also debut at the Dance Spectacular in 2025.
With its soaring acoustics, the hall is known for attracting professional opera stars, and this year will see opera star Gabrielle Diaz from Opera Queensland performing a series of classical arias and well-loved favourites as part of the dance program.
Event founder and organiser, Solar Chapel from Hearts Aflame Productions, said there was no comparable event in regional Australia.
“Professional Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue dancers can perform free style, without the restrictions of competition,” Chapel said.

“This really adds an extra element of magic, where our performers enjoy themselves as much as the audience.
“Last year was completely sold out with extra patrons accommodated in the standing room only section, so we really encourage everyone to book early.”
Tickets are available for the show only, or dinner and show packages including a two-course pre-show dinner at Flutterbies Cottage Café.
