LEE Kernaghan is set to bring his iconic Boys From The Bush – The Concert Australian Tour to Twin Towns on November 8.

Fans can expect a powerful performance as Kernaghan celebrates a career spanning over three decades, featuring music from his upcoming 16th studio album.

The chart-topping single from the new album, Who I Am, features rising star James Johnston and was co-written with hit songwriters Nick Wolfe and Colin Buchanan.

Kernaghan first spotted Johnston back in 2001 when Johnston was 10 years old and busking on the streets of Tamworth.

“He was wearing a black cowboy hat, playing a black guitar, and singing a Lee Kernaghan song,” Kernaghan said.

“So, I offered him a few words of advice and sort of took him under my wing.”

“And now he is a star in his own right, and we release this song Who I Am, which is a song about us but also pays tribute to a whole lot of people around Australia who make the country great.”

The song delves into Kernaghan’s country roots, paying tribute to the people and landscapes that inspire his music.

“With every album, I want to have something to say. I don’t just make a song up and put it out there; it’s got to come from someplace real.”

“That’s why it has taken a few years to put together because it comes from the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been, traveling around Australia.”

Kernaghan’s Boys From The Bush tour has been a resounding success, with sold-out shows and additional dates slated due to overwhelming demand.

The Twin Towns show will offer fans the opportunity to experience Kernaghan’s legendary banter and signature country sound in an intimate setting.

With more than 2.5 million album sales, 40 number-one hits, and 90 million streams, Kernaghan remains a cornerstone of Australian country music.

Kernaghan says the Tweed Heads performance promises to be a highlight of the tour, blending classic hits with new music from his forthcoming album.
