LOCAL Northern Rivers Artists are coming together tonight (Friday, July 12) in a show of support for the Save Wallum environmental campaign.

The campaign continues to fight for the protection of the ecologically significant Wallum Heath, in Brunswick Heads.

Tonight’s event, starting 5.30pm at Gallery Cosmosis, will include live music, local brews and foods, providing a backdrop to the artworks and art auction.

More than 50 local artists, including Space Cowboy, Daniel Hend, Jay Manby, Sharon Shostak, and many more have generously contributed to the exhibition.

Their artworks span a range of mediums from captivating watercolors to intricate sculptures.

“The Save Wallum movement resonates deeply with everyone who experiences the natural beauty of this region; the ancient trees, banksias, and diverse birdlife inspire us all to take action,” Gallery Cosmosis owner and exhibition curator Patti Jacobs said. The exhibition is open to the public until July 22.
