Brian Nankervis: The Beach House Years

Brian Nankervis: The Beach House Years is a heartfelt, nostalgic one-man show created by Australian comedian and RocKwiz star Brian Nankervis. The performance follows the fictional story of the Findlay family over 40 years as they experience life at their beloved beach house, Seahaven, celebrating family rituals, holidays, and growing up. The Tweed Valley Jazz & Blues Club is celebrating its 30th year during the show at the Condong Bowling Club on 26 June featuring the very popular Trombone Kellie Gang – one of the hardest working bands in the Northern Rivers today. Performing from the Sunshine Coast to the Byron Hinterlands, they are an entertaining ‘old school’ outfit with the perfect recipe of Street Blues, jazz swing, gospel, soul and a bit of rock and roll. LAVA presents Sounding the Farm with Zemzemeh

Held at The Murwillumbah Citadel, Sounding the Farm is an environmental sound installation by Zemzemeh, created from recordings gathered on farms in Doon Doon and across the Tweed region. Presented through a multi-speaker system surrounding the audience, the work invites listeners to enter an acoustic landscape where distance, movement, memory, and place are carried by sound. Sounding the Farm reveals these hidden textures, asking us to hear rural life not as background, but as a living conversation. This is a free event with registrations essential via Humanitix.

Dan Hannaford Solo

Byron Bay based artist Dan Hannaford will play a free gig at Ballina RSL this June. Known for his blues, folk and roots sound, Hannaford has supported international acts including Charlie Musselwhite, Donavon Frankenreiter and Charlie Parr, as well as Australian favourites Tex Perkins, Ash Grunwald and The Black Sorrows. His debut album I Cried Bullets was recorded in Los Angeles, while his lead single Lay Down Your Guns had the accompanying film clip selected to premiere at Byron Bay’s 2015 International Film Festival. Lismore Regional Gallery Permanent Collection: Recent acquisitions and restored works

Lismore Regional Gallery is gradually re-building its permanent Collection thanks to its generous donors through the Government’s Cultural Gifts Program. This exhibition, held at Lismore Regional Gallery, will share newly acquired works by some of Australia’s preeminent artists such as Hany Armanious, Lindy Lee, Lottie Consalvo, and Laith McGregor. The exhibition will also celebrate existing Collection artworks by local and national artists and photographers, recontextualising them in the present day and in dialogue with the new works.
