BUSINESS NSW will host award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster Tracey Spicer as the keynote speaker at its Northern Rivers Leadership, Health and Culture Forum.

The forum will be held at the Ballina RSL Club on Thursday 25 June.

Spicer will serve as master of ceremonies and deliver a keynote address reflecting on leadership, the growing influence of artificial intelligence, the importance of human connection and the challenges of championing meaningful causes in a rapidly changing world.

Business NSW Northern Rivers Regional Director Jane Laverty said Spicer’s involvement would add significant value to the forum.

“Tracey brings such a rare combination of intelligence, warmth, courage and humanity to the conversations she leads,” she said.

“She has a remarkable ability to connect big issues with real people and real stories, which is exactly the kind of leadership conversation we want to create for the Northern Rivers.”

Spicer will also facilitate discussions with a panel of respected regional leaders, including Luke Elias from Healthy North Coast, Mindy Woods from Karkalla, Jodi Sampson from Corporate Culcha, Cate McQuillen from Me Me Me Productions, Tim Jack Adams from Green X7, Jade Taylor from Sistability and Dr Jean Renouf from Plan C.

The forum is designed to foster meaningful conversations across sectors and encourage greater collaboration throughout the region.

“Our region has extraordinary leadership across business, health, community, culture, education and the not-for-profit sector, but too often those conversations happen separately,” Laverty said.

“This forum is about bringing people together to explore what connects us, what strengthens us and what kind of leadership we need as we look to the future.

“The Northern Rivers has enormous potential, but living up to that potential for the next generation will require leadership that is collaborative, courageous and deeply connected to the wellbeing of our communities.”
