Ballina call out for new ward committee members

BALLINA Shire Council is inviting expressions of interest from not-for-profit community groups to join three community-based Ward Committees.

The committees represent the shire’s A, B, and C wards and aim to strengthen communication between residents and local government.

Their purpose is to provide feedback to Ward Councillors and the Council on various community matters.Each eligible group can nominate one representative.

Applications will be reviewed at the next Ordinary Council meeting, and existing members do not need to reapply.

The committees meet five times a year, with A Ward convening on the second Tuesday at 4:00 pm, B Ward on the third Monday at 4:30 pm,

and C Ward on the second Thursday at 5:00 pm.

Submissions close on Monday, February 10.
