THE Northern Rivers’ beef industry and rural culture will take centre stage when Casino’s annual Beef Week returns on Saturday May 24, launching more than 100 events across nine days.
The popular festival draws visitors from across the region, celebrating local produce, community spirit and the area’s rich cattle heritage.
The Saturday Street Festival Parade will feature cattle and floats, while Friday’s Breakfast with the Butchers remains one of the most loved events in Casino’s CBD.
This year’s program also includes the crowning of the new Beef Week Queen and the return of the Mr Beef competition.
Beef Week board president Brody Lisha said the committee had worked closely with local businesses to deliver one of the biggest events on record.
“We’re thrilled to welcome locals and visitors back for another incredible Beef Week,” he said.

“2025 will not only highlight Casino’s rich cattle heritage but also celebrate the community’s resilience and creativity.”
A major feature this year is the return of the World’s Largest Meat Tray Raffle, with 200kg of premium cuts from Northern Rivers butchers and a 500-litre chest freezer to store it.
The program includes market stalls, a whip cracking competition, wood chopping, bush poets and a pie eating contest.
Comedian Mel Buttle will perform at the Casino Golf Club, while media personality and Gotcha4Life founder Gus Worland will headline the Steaks with Mates event, promoting mental health awareness and community connection.
The Bindaree Food Group will host an industry dinner, with additional events including a women’s luncheon and youth education activities.
