Byron Seniors Club officially open
THE Byron Community Centre launched the Byron Seniors Club last week, providing activities and events to connect and support seniors in the shire.
The club offers a diverse range of activities, including group drumming sessions, Hawaiian hula dance workshops, and African dance classes, catering to creative expression, physical wellness, and social connection.
Byron Seniors Club coordinator Shanti Des Fours said the initiative would be a valuable addition to the community.”
We are thrilled to introduce the Byron Seniors Club with a range of offerings that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our senior community,” Des Fours said.
“There’s something for everyone, from creative expression to physical wellness and social connection.
“Our monthly newsletters and year-round activities are designed to keep our seniors informed and involved, ensuring they have access to enriching opportunities that support their wellbeing and foster a sense of belonging.”
In addition to regular free activities, the Byron Seniors Club will offer special events, social activities, exclusive Byron Theatre discounts and a monthly newsletter for club members throughout the year.
The Byron Community Centre also sponsors various weekly senior activities, including Chair Yoga and Studio 55 Drama classes.
The launch of the Byron Seniors Club is integral to the centre’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for residents of all ages and now a place where seniors can thrive.
