LOCALLY owned and operated, Coastal Training College is delivering accredited Community CPR and First Aid Training in Murwillumbah.

Held at the Murwillumbah Services Club every second Friday, the course includes a self-paced online theory component followed by a fast hands-on practical session.

The nationally accredited training is aimed at parents, educators, tradespeople, carers, and those seeking to be prepared in emergencies.

Courses offered include HLTAID009 – Provide CPR, HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education & Care Setting, CPR + LVR (Low Voltage Rescue), and Asthma and Anaphylaxis.

Students will need to create a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before the course, which is a quick, free, online process.

Most students complete online learning for short courses like Provide CPR in 30-45 minutes, and more advanced courses, such as Provide First Aid, will take two to three hours to complete.

“We recommend students complete the online learning before attending the practical assessment,” a Coastal Training College spokesperson said.

“We understand life can get busy, and some students may not have time or have extenuating circumstances.

“If students are unable to complete the online learning before the practical assessment, they will have 60 days to finish before they will have to book another course.”
