Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 50-year-old woman missing from the state’s far north coast.
Alison McKelvey was last seen in the Tweed Heads and Coolangatta area on Thursday 19 March. Tweed Byron police district officers started inquiries into her whereabouts on Wednesday 24 March after she could not be located or contacted.

Police said they hold concerns for the welfare of McKelvey because she lives with a medical condition. She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall and of medium build with short brown hair.
McKelvey was last seen wearing a black singlet, grey shorts, a blue cap and black thongs.
She is known to frequent the border regions of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta.

Investigators have released an image of McKelvey to NSW Police Force social media pages to assist in the search.
Anyone with information regarding her location is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.Information provided to authorities is managed on a confidential basis.
