Our Kids launches 2026 calendar

LOCAL charity Our Kids launched its 2026 calendar last week at a special event where families of next year’s featured children saw the photos for the first time.

The Our Kids Calendar is an institution and has celebrated children who have spent time in the Children’s Ward and Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital since its inaugural edition in 2001.

Local photographer Jacklyn Wagner has donated her time and talent to photograph each child over the past 24 years, capturing their strength and spirit.

“The calendar project is an extraordinary body of work,” Wagner said.

“It’s such a privilege to photograph the children each year and to have been part of this project and team for so long.”

The team has remained unchanged for two decades and has photographed and celebrated more than 320 local families.

A framed special edition is displayed in the foyer of Lismore Base Hospital for twelve months before being gifted to the featured child’s family at the following year’s launch, along with a handmade quilt from Quilts for Kids.

The dedicated team includes local graphic designer Soren Hjorth from Graphiti Design, Shaun McGuiness from Lismore City Printery, and Sheila Turner from Picture Framing, who frames a special edition.

The calendar is now available for purchase at retail outlets across the region and online for $25.

All proceeds go to Our Kids to help fund paediatric equipment for hospitals across the Northern Rivers.
