Pool reopening marks end to flood restoration
WITH temperatures climbing into the 30s last week, swimmers will welcome news the Lismore Memorial Baths will reopen today, Friday, September 13.
It also means the end of flood-restoration work.
The 2022 floods caused an estimated $1 million in damage to the pool’s pump and filtration system.
It reopened in December last year, but the council was waiting on the delivery of a moveable dividing block to bring the pool back to 50 metres. The block was installed this week.
The Lismore Memorial Baths has an eight-lane 50-metre lap pool, a four-lane 25-metre lap pool, a toddlers’ splash pool, and the Swimsations Swim School. All the pools are solar-heated. The kiosk serves espresso coffee, hot chips, and ice cream.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
These hours will be extended to 7pm weekdays during Daylight Savings from Sunday, October 6.
Pool entry is just $6.35 for adults and $5.55 for students/concession card holders.
Visit packs, season passes and monthly memberships are also available. For $4.40 extra, kids can enjoy the ever-popular inflatable obstacle course on the weekends from 12pm – 3pm.
