THE Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final has been rescheduled to April 12 and April 13, at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast after being postponed due to Cyclone Alfred.

Surfing Australia confirmed the new dates following discussions with event partners and local authorities, ensuring the competition can go ahead safely.

The event brings together Australia’s top boardrider clubs, including world champions and Olympians, to compete for the national title. It is regarded as the pinnacle of Australian club surfing.

More than 80 boardrider clubs took part in state qualifying rounds leading up to the Grand Final, which has played a key role in strengthening club culture and supporting emerging talent.

The event is supported by NRMA Insurance, Jim Beam, ACCIONA, and the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland.

Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
