Tweed Coast Tigers in pre-season training
THE 2025 AFL pre-season preparations at the Tweed Coast Tigers are in full swing and will focus on ramping up training sessions in the lead-up to Christmas.
Senior Men’s Coach Dean Solomon returns for his third season with the squad, which has shown significant improvement over the past two years under his guidance.
“We have built the group’s culture on a strong work ethic, teamwork, and resilience,” Solomon said.
“Trent Ousby, the team’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, has worked hard behind the scenes to set up the squad for the best possible start to the pre-season.
“Our program is designed to an elite standard to ensure the players are in top shape and condition for the 2025 season.”
“The program integrates with the Under 17s, and they relish the opportunity to be exposed to senior football fitness standards and learn from the leaders within the playing group.”
The club announced its 2025 junior coaches earlier this week. Izzy Topper, Kain Lobascher and Steve Foreman will coach the girls’ teams, and James Walle, Julian Van Den Driest and Jarrod Brotherton will lead the boys.
Longtime coach John Nankivel was recently awarded for 10 years of service.
The club encourages players to start their summer fitness early and kickstart their summer fitness now rather than wait until the new year.
The senior’s training schedule resumes Wednesday nights from 6.15 pm at Barry Sheppard Oval and Saturday mornings at 6.30 am.
Seasoned, returning and new players are all welcome. For more information, visit tweedcoasttigers.com
