Current occupation and background:

Tweed Shire Mayor full-time for the past four years and the Deputy Mayor for three years. I worked at Sydney University and UNSW before taking over family holiday park business in 2006.

How long in the Tweed community?

Grew up at Wooyung, worked in Sydney and lived overseas before returning to raise my family here.

Community involvement?

I was president of Pottsville Community Association for seven years before joining Council.

Guiding values or principles?

Community-led decision-making is my key pillar, hence my team are community-group leaders.

Are you or have you been associated with any political party or cause?

I’ve never been affiliated with any political party and I don’t support party politics in local council.

Preferential voting suggestions?

To sitting councillors I believe have done a good job. Also new candidate Brady Turner.

Campaign budget, and how are you funding it?

The same as last time, around $5,500.

Top three issues facing your area?

Safe affordable housing. Lowering electricity prices via cheaper renewable energy. Water security in a changing climate.
