How long in the Tweed community?

I moved to the Tweed in 1997 from Sydney.

Community involvement?

Murwillumbah Hospital Pink ladies for 10 years, becoming president. Murwillumbah Hospital Auxiliary, also president position. Friends of the Tweed Regional Art Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre Gallery, also president.

Guiding values or principles?

To support the community help it grow and to care for our most vulnerable. Kindness, compassion and support.

Are you or have you been associated with any political party or cause?

Never. I don’t believe politics should come into local council.

Preferential voting suggestions?

I will only be preferencing independents.

Campaign budget?

Approximately $4,000. I don’t take donations.

Top three issues facing your area?

Lack of affordable housing and homelessness is a huge issue in our area and the whole state. Protection of our wildlife. Adequate sporting facilities for our youth.
