I am a writer and a retired academic. I ran a special education consultancy business, and became president of Learning Difficulties Australia.

How long in the Tweed community?

Eight years.

Community involvement?

I founded Hospital Hill Landcare in Murwillumbah, was a member of Caldera Environment Centre and am a current councillor.

Guiding values or principles?

Support for community interests (rather than developer interests), environmental protection and social justice.

Are you or have you been associated with any political party or cause?

I am a Greens candidate. Greens policies also hold the above values.

Below $10,000. No donations from corporations.

Top three issues facing your area?

Affordable housing on flood-free and appropriately zoned land. Protection of our environment by increased resources for weed and feral animal control and native tree protection requirements. Further support for our circular economy.
