JAPANESE appliance maker Rinnai Corporation Australia has announced the acquisition of Byron-founded Smart Energy Group, marking its entry into the solar PV and<\/p>\n
battery market.<\/p>\n
The company stated that the move enhances Rinnai’s renewable energy capabilities and positions the company to better serve the evolving needs of Australian households and businesses.<\/p>\n
Rinnai, known for its hot water, heating, and cooling solutions, views this acquisition as a significant step forward.<\/p>\n
Rinnai Australia director Lucas van Raay said welcoming Smart Energy into the Rinnai team aligned with his company’s vision of delivering innovative and environmentally responsible solutions to Australian households and businesses.<\/p>\n

Smart Energy, a renewable energy retailer specialising in complete solar PV systems and battery storage, is a key addition to Rinnai’s portfolio.<\/p>\n

The acquisition of Smart Energy follows Rinnai’s recent expansion through the addition of Australian brands such as Brivis, Polo, APAC, and iZone, further solidifying its position in the hot water, heating, cooling, and home automation markets.<\/p>\n
