{"id":102144,"date":"2024-10-06T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-05T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/tweedcoasttimes\/?p=102144"},"modified":"2024-10-02T20:08:53","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T10:08:53","slug":"get-radical-with-film-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/tweedcoasttimes\/living\/get-radical-with-film-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Get radical with film tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ADVENTURE lovers can get their adrenaline pumping when the Radical Reels Film Tour comes to Brunswick Heads on October 16.<\/p>\n<p>Seven films ranging from three to 41 minutes long feature in the tour, which is an offshoot of the Banff Mountain Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>They cover everything from free climbing in the Mexican desert to one of the longest wilderness expeditions ever documented \u2013 a 2000 -kilometre journey across Nunavut and the Northwest Territories in Canada \u2013 and an expedition trailing the ancient Silk Roads in the Tian Shan mountain range, on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China.<\/p>\n<p>There is also one Australian film in this year&#8217;s tour, Ian, which follows the story of 72-year-old Sunshine Coast climber Ian Elliott as he tackles challenging routes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/10\/AsceneinCanadaVertic_76599.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A scene from Canada Vertical in the Radical Reels Film Tour.
