Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can feel the grandeur.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bricks were moulded in a cast, so it took four years to build.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s at the top of a hill, so it has incredible views.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Set on 7.6 hectares with a macadamia orchard, the property has a long, palm tree-lined driveway that leads to the Federation-style home, which has four bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, and heritage features such as chandeliers and stained glass windows.<\/p>\n<p>Bookended by two-bedroom Queenslander-style cottages, it is capable of sleeping up to 16 people and also has a heated mineral pool.<\/p>\n<p>Brisbane-based owner Mitch Carter, who bought the property in 2016, said he fell in love with it as soon as he saw it.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/10\/InsideHinterlandHous_73963.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chandeliers and other heritage features can be seen throughout Hinterland House. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nothing&#8217;s built like that in the area these days,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have shared a lot of Christmases there and various birthdays with my extended family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Carter said the home was popular with holidaymakers celebrating intergenerational family get-togethers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Being on MAFS was massive exposure for the property, and we have quite a good following on social media,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>But he said the time has come to sell so he can focus on his Brisbane business and look for another project.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve taken it as far as I&#8217;m going to take it,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Expressions of interest close on December 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A HERITAGE-listed Bangalow home that featured in the reality TV series Married at First Sight has been listed for sale for $15 million.
