Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The four-bedroom house has appeared in photo shoots for companies such as homewares brand Bed Threads and in various style magazines around the world. It will also feature in a book the couple co-wrote called The Family Home, which will be published by Hardie Grant in September.<\/p>\n<p>The Adamos bought the house in 2018 after 12 years living in London and a year of travel, which saw them fall in love with Bangalow after a six-week stint there.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/02\/CourtneyAdamoinherBa_54196.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtney Adamo in her Bangalow home in a shoot for Bed Threads. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attracted by the early-1900s home&#8217;s high ceilings, original floorboards, panelled walls and old wooden windows, the pair undertook a major renovation to make it more suitable for their family, adding an ensuite bathroom, built-in bunk beds in one of the bedrooms and a garden studio.<\/p>\n<p>They also swapped the position of the kitchen and bathroom so they could have a large, shaker-style kitchen at the rear of the house leading out to the garden.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/02\/InsideCourtneyAdamo_55477.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Inside Courtney Adamo&#8217;s Bangalow home. Photo: DODDS REAL ESTATE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We tried to honour the heritage of the house, so we chose a lot of traditional fixtures like taps, tiles, baths and lighting that complement the home,&#8221; said Ms Adamo, who also offers online parenting courses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We kept and restored all the original windows and doors.
