FIFTEEN new affordable housing units will be built in Brunswick Heads as part of the Federal Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund.<\/p>\n
The homes are part of the fund’s first round of projects and will support women and children escaping domestic violence, older women, frontline workers and Indigenous Australians.<\/p>\n
Richmond MP Justine Elliot said the Federal Government was investing in social and affordable housing on a scale not seen in more than a decade.<\/p>\n
“Labor is building homes for renters, for first home buyers, for women and children escaping domestic violence, and those at risk of homelessness \u2013 because building more homes on the North Coast means more affordable housing for everyone,” she said.<\/p>\n
“As your local Labor MP, I’m proud to be delivering 15 new affordable units in Brunswick Heads for women and children escaping domestic violence, older women, frontline workers, and Indigenous Australians.<\/p>\n
“This is on top of the funding I delivered for 26 Safe Places for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Tweed Heads.”<\/p>\n
The Housing Australia Future Fund aims to support new builds across the country.<\/p>\n
