Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These disasters have shown us how vital it is to be informed, aware and prepared to face disasters,&#8221; Cr Cherry said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Getting to know our emergency responders, watching them in action, and learning how we can all do our part in disaster preparedness will help make Tweed a safer, more resilient community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will be able to explore emergency vehicles and equipment, including fire trucks, rescue boats and all-terrain vehicles, and learn how crews respond during crisis situations.<\/p>\n<p>The expo runs from 10am on Saturday, May 31.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TWEED residents will have a chance to meet the region&#8217;s frontline responders at a free Emergency Services Expo later this month.
