THE next round of Tweed event sponsorship funding will soon close, and the Council is calling on organisers to submit their big ideas and bold visions.<\/p>\n

The strategic financial funding supports food festivals, community celebrations, sporting, creative and cultural events.<\/p>\n

In the 2024-2025 round of funding, 19 events secured a total of $99,764 across various events.<\/p>\n

Tweed Shire Mayor Chris Cherry said the Council was proud to support events that strengthen the local community and enhance the Shire’s reputation as a great place to live and visit.<\/p>\n

“We welcome applications from organisers who are passionate about creating events that are the right fit for the Tweed and leave a positive impact,” Cr Cherry said.<\/p>\n

The Tweed Events Strategy 2024-2028 aims to bring the region to life by supporting the growth and delivery of festivals and events that celebrate the Shire’s strengths.<\/p>\n

The grants will support creative and culinary strengths and events that align with the community’s values and showcase unique Tweed experiences.<\/p>\n

Applications are open to incorporated organisations or those supported by a sponsor that is accepting legal and financial responsibility for the event.<\/p>\n

Submissions close at midnight on Friday, May 30.<\/p>\n
