He was working as a traffic controller in Brisbane and is now writing a new catalogue of songs after reaching the top 10 on Australian Idol.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/05\/RafikiRoyale-Natalie_69485.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A Las Vegas themed night with Casino tables held raise money at Rafiki Royale.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I love performing and I don&#8217;t think we can ever do enough for people in need,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a different kind of crowd for me and it was just a fantastic event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kenya, that&#8217;s home for me, the whole concept of what they&#8217;re doing is really special.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rafiki Mweme operates a 14-acre self-sufficient farm with several homes and a school for boys and girls.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation started over a decade ago and now employs 45 Kenyan staff and is supported by Australian volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>Another of its programs provides meals to 100 children in town each day.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/05\/RafikiRoyale-Natalie_73189.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A conga line of performers with singer Bony at the Rafiki Royale.
