THE Savour the Tweed food and drink festival will return this October with an expanded five-day program featuring 35 events across the region.<\/p>\n

Now in its second year, the spring celebration will bring together local producers, chefs and visitors for long table lunches, farm tours, brewery tastings, cooking classes and community events.<\/p>\n

Festival highlights include a Gidjuum Gulganyi walk with Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods, a brunch on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, and a supper club at the Tweed Regional Museum.<\/p>\n

Curator and chef Christine Manfield said the 2025 program would again focus on connection \u2014 between land, food, producers and community.<\/p>\n

“As a signature regional food and drink event for this region, Savour the Tweed returns in 2025 with connection at its core,” she said.<\/p>\n

Woods, who recently won the Champions for Change award at the World’s Best 50 Awards in Italy, is among several high-profile and emerging chefs joining the program.<\/p>\n

Tweed Tourism Company general manager Sally Scott said the festival would again offer something for all budgets and ages, from free community activities to intimate restaurant experiences.<\/p>\n

Savour the Tweed is an initiative of Tweed Shire Council and the Tweed Tourism Company. The event aims to support local producers and promote the region’s culinary identity.<\/p>\n

It will run from October 22 to 26.<\/p>\n
