Photo: ANGELA SAURINE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attendees then joined older volunteers to learn new skills and crafts, including crocheting and making &#8216;God&#8217;s eye&#8217; crafts from sticks and wool. Children also painted rocks and sculpted Pok\u00e9mon characters out of clay and ping pong balls before the day wrapped up with a lively all-ages soccer game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jazz musician John Hoffman improvised really good beats for the limbo and soccer game,&#8221; Connecting Generations Bangalow founder Ruth Winton-Brown said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_114712\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-114712\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-114712\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/08\/Peoplecompetinginthe_37267.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"523\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-114712\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An old-fashioned sack race at the Connecting Generations Bangalow winter event.
