CELEBRATING the 50th anniversary of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining Fleetwood Mac, Seventh Wonder presents a vivid performance of the band’s classic era at Tweed on November 14.<\/p>\n

Singer Amanda Canzurlo (performing under the stage name Bloom) had been performing the music of other artists for years, beginning with the Adele and Amy songbook.<\/p>\n

“The theme was to perform the songs that I love, of the artists that I love, but not pretend to be the artist,” she said.<\/p>\n

“I love old school music, and I moved into the space of Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, and then we added Stevie Nicks.<\/p>\n

“I love her as an artist, so mystical, and it really opened me up as an artist as well.<\/p>\n

“A couple of our band members had played in Fleetwood Mac bands before, but another 30 bands were doing it around the country, and at first we felt that the market was too saturated.”<\/p>\n

Several years later, claiming to be one of the world’s best Fleetwood Mac shows would be quite a statement were it not for the fact that Seventh Wonder is managed and presented by Dennis Dunstan, the iconic band’s former manager and personal manager to Mick Fleetwood.<\/p>\n

The singer said a serendipitous meeting on a cruise ship took the show to a new level.<\/p>\n

“I’d heard about Dennis being Fleetwood Mac’s former manager, and that he lived in Australia, so I started my manifestation powers, and I said to my husband James, who’s in the band, that we needed to meet him and explore the possibilities,” Canzurlo said.<\/p>\n

“We were performing our Fleetwood Mac show on a cruise, and as we walked out of our cabin, I saw this guy, who I’d never seen before, wearing a Fleetwood Mac t-shirt.<\/p>\n

“Me having a cheeky nature said, “Hey, you’re wearing our t-shirt,” and he said, “Your t-shirt? This is Fleetwood Mac,” and introduced himself.<\/p>\n

“I mean, these ships have over 3000 people on them. What were the chances? So, that was our first meeting, then he saw the show and we had another and together decided we’d do it properly and orchestrate the songs into a real celebration that people hadn’t heard before.”<\/p>\n

With an orchestral string section and visual effects, the show has been lauded as an authentic and exhilarating tribute to one of the most legendary bands in rock history. Mick Fleetwood himself is a fan.<\/p>\n

Showcasing the Rumours album, the show features timeless classics including Go Your Own Way, Dreams, and Don’t Stop, as well as other hits such as Little Lies, Gypsy, and Say You Love Me.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s special because we’re being true to the sound, and we’re playing everything note for note as you hear it on the record, but we’re adding our magic to it,” Canzurlo said.<\/p>\n

“There’s a magic between us five on stage that I think that Fleetwood Mac has also, like we’re all our own individual artists, but something happens when we all walk on stage together.<\/p>\n

“I can’t explain it. You must be at a show to feel that. I suppose the good thing is that with James and me in the band together, we’re still married, so that’s nice.”<\/p>\n
