Local maker Corinne Wilson will run a drop-in visible mending and repair space on the day.<\/p>\n
The event is free and offers people the chance to find unique garments, learn more about waste and help those in need of clothes.<\/p>\n
All clothing supplied for the swap is clean and suited to a wide range of body types, with availability depending on what participants bring.<\/p>\n
Participants need to drop off their clothing in exchange for tokens before the event.<\/p>\n
“Bring one or two items to repair, mend something you’ve found at the swap, or simply stop by to watch and join the conversation,” Rowe said.<\/p>\n
“No sewing experience is needed, and all tools and materials are supplied.”<\/p>\n
