SOUTHERN Cross University is rolling out new industry-focused graduate certificates aimed at addressing workforce shortages in childcare, small business and emerging industries across regional areas.<\/p>\n
From term one, students will be able to enrol in four graduate certificates covering neurodiversity, circular economy, small business leadership and early childhood education leadership.<\/p>\n
The courses have been developed in response to demand for skilled workers and are designed to allow students to balance study with work and other commitments.<\/p>\n
They have been co-designed with industry, business and people with lived experience, and informed by research into regional workforce needs and labour market gaps.<\/p>\n
Southern Cross University vice-chancellor Ben Roche said the new courses focused on practical skills that could be applied directly in the workplace.<\/p>\n
“The creation of these new industry graduate certificates demonstrates how the university can bring together research, teaching expertise and industry connections to design offerings that address real workforce challenges,” he said.<\/p>\n
The neurodiversity course focuses on improving accessibility and inclusion in workplaces and community settings.<\/p>\n
The circular economy program centres on sustainable waste management systems.<\/p>\n
The small business leadership course aims to build strategic and financial capability.<\/p>\n
The early childhood education leadership program has been developed to support workers facing increasing pressures across the sector.<\/p>\n
Southern Cross University has campuses at Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Tweed Heads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
