LISMORE Speedway will host a series of major race meetings in March, beginning with the SSA Juniors Young Gun Nationals on March 7.<\/p>\n
The junior event will feature Wingless Sprints, Production Sedans and RSA Sedans.<\/p>\n
Promoter Mick Corbett said the meeting will showcase emerging talent.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got a few young guns turning up like Erica Robinson, Travis Dhu and his sister Harper,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re only young, but the speed and skill they bring to the track are incredible.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s basically a club show to give everyone somewhere to race, but it\u2019s also about giving our juniors a real taste of competitive action.\u201d<\/p>\n
Corbett said the season had been disrupted by early washouts but had gained momentum in recent months.<\/p>\n
The March 21 meeting will feature Sprintcars, the SSA Street Stocks NSW Title, AMCA Nationals, Wingless Sprints and Legend Cars.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe sprint car show with the street stock title is going to be massive. We\u2019ve already got strong nominations, and it promises to be a big crowd-pleaser,\u201d Corbett said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had some good shows recently, like the AMCA Australian Title weekend, and we\u2019re hoping the weather holds for these March events.<\/p>\n
\u201cFingers crossed, we\u2019ll get through our first season up here without too many interruptions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Corbett said the Bruce Maxwell Classic over Easter would be one of the final highlights before the season ends in May.<\/p>\n
